General Server Rules
Here you can find information on the rules across the LotusMC in-game network. Violation of any of these rules will all be followed by specific consequences. Please be sure to familiarize yourself with these rules to ensure yourself and the people around you all feel safe and included on the network. Rules are not permanently set and are subjected to updates at any point.
Note: Administration enforcements may be reasoned as [A], this is because Administrators have an important job on the server and have gone out of their way to enforce a rule, leading to a punishment duration that they deem is reasonable.
Spamming:
Spamming is when a user sends the same or similar message 3+ times within a short time period. This is prohibited as it is obnoxious for the other users when attempting to read and write messages.
1st Action: Warning
Punishment: 30m Mute
Death Threats:
Death Threats/Jokes are when a user tells another user to harm themselves or that they will inflict harm in any way IRL. This is strictly prohibited as LotusMC strives to remain a safe environment for our community.
Punishment: 6h Mute
Advertising:
Advertising is when a user sends another server's IP in chat.
Punishment: Blacklist
Indirect Advertisement:
Indirect Advertising is when a user is asking other players to connect to a server without including the server’s IP Address. For example, “Guys, Join LotusMC!”.
1st Action: Warning
Punishment: 1h Mute
Leaking Personal Information:
Leaking Personal Information is when a user sends sensitive information about another user on any LotusMC related platform. This is strictly prohibited as LotusMC strives to remain a safe environment for our community.
Punishment: Blacklist
DDoS/Dox/Swat/Threats:
DDoS/Dox/Swat/Threats is when a user makes a reference, joke, or advances to deny other users services, sharing their location, or makes a false police report on them. This is strictly prohibited as LotusMC strives to remain a safe environment for our community.
Punishment: Blacklist
Excessive Toxicity & Harassment:
Using excessively harsh, malicious, or harmful language towards another member.
Punishment: 3h mute
Hate Speech:
Hate Speech is when a user makes any form of sexual, racial, or homophobic insults toward another user. This is strictly prohibited as LotusMC strives to remain a safe and inclusive environment for our community.
Punishment: 3h Mute
Links:
Non-LotusMC Related Links is when a user sends a link in any chat that redirects users to a website that is not of LotusMC origins. This is prohibited as we are not able to ensure the safety of the links sent.
Punishment: 1h Mute
IRL Trading:
IRL Trading is when a user advertises a sale for themself for an unrelated server item, such as selling skins, Minecraft accounts etc. However, selling items in-game for BuyCraft is allowed.
Punishment: Ban for the duration of the current or upcoming map.
Staff Disrespect:
Staff Disrespect is when a user excessively harasses and/or disrespects a member of the staff team. This is prohibited as our staff team is all here to ensure the safety of the community.
1st Action: Warning
Punishment: 10m Mute
Illegal Modifications/Hacked Clients:
Illegal Modifications/Hacked Clients is when a user uses modifications to gain a competitive advantage over other users. You also may not willingly aid a player who is hacking, such as supporting them by providing materials for them to cheat for your own advantage. This is strictly prohibited as it creates an unfair gap between legit users.
Punishment: Ban for the duration of the current or upcoming map.
Abusing Bugs/Exploits:
Abusing Bugs/Exploits is when a user intentionally abuses dupe glitching, crashing, phasing, or other such exploits. We encourage all that find exploits or bugs (intentionally or not) to report it to the staff team via Discord or Forums, as we would greatly appreciate the help.
Punishment: Administrators+ discretion based on the severity of the exploit.
Chargebacks:
Chargebacks are when a user buys anything from the LotusMC Store and charges back after they receive their purchase. You agreed to the terms of purchase when buying your product(s) from the store and violating those terms is strictly prohibited.
Punishment: Ban for the duration of the current or upcoming map. + Removal of the purchased product(s).
Lag Machines:
Lag Machines is when a user creates or assists with creating a build or machine with the intent to cause lag across the server. This is strictly prohibited as it tarnishes the experience of other users.
Punishment: Ban for the duration of the current or upcoming map.
Spam Bots:
Spam Bots are when a user willingly uses alternate accounts to flood chat, cause lag or disturb the overall peace of the server. This is strictly prohibited as it tarnishes the experience of other users on the server.
Punishment: Blacklist.
Mute Evading:
Mute Evading is when a user with an active mute uses an alternate account to message in any of the in-game chats or bypasses their mute using signs or items. This is strictly prohibited as you must serve the duration of your punishment out.
Punishment: IP-Ban for 3h.
Ban Evading:
Ban Evading is when a user with an active ban uses an alternate account to connect to the server. This is strictly prohibited as you must serve the duration of your punishment.
Punishment: IP-Ban for the duration of the current or upcoming map.
Providing Fake Evidence:
Providing Fake Evidence is when a user provides any edited or falsified incriminating evidence against another user or staff member that leads to punishment. This is strictly prohibited as it interferes with trust and relations across the community.
Punishment: Ban for 2d.
Chat Flooding:
Chat Flooding is when a user sends 5+ messages without separation. This rule does not apply when the server is at a lower player count. This is prohibited as it interferes with other users' ability to receive messages.

Character Spamming:
Character Spamming is when a user sends unnecessary or exaggerated messages that occupy a lot of chat space. Examples of this are: “HAHAHAHAHA”, “adhaduahduadjiadjawidjqd”, “!!!!!!!!”. This is prohibited as it interferes with other users' ability to receive messages.
1st Action: Warning

Bypassing Chat Rules:
Bypassing Chat Rules are when a user uses alternate chat methods to attempt to bypass rules. Examples of this may include renaming their tools/weapons to inappropriate names, writing inappropriate signs, etc.
Punishment: Ban for 3h.
Inappropriate Symbols/Builds:
Inappropriate Symbols/Builds is when a user builds anything that may be taken as offensive anywhere around the server. This is strictly prohibited as LotusMC strives to remain a safe and inclusive environment for our community.
Punishment: 3h Ban + Removal of Build(s).
Insiding:
Insiding is when a user steals items/valuables from members of their team that they did not earn themselves. This is strictly prohibited as it tarnishes the experience of the users affected by this.
Punishment: Ban for duration of current or upcoming map.
Staff Impersonation:
Staff Impersonation is when a player attempts to convince other users on the LotusMC Network that they are a member of the staff team. This could be done through but not limited to /nickname and/or through Discord tags.
1st Action: Warning
Punishment: Ban for 1h.
Phishing:
Phishing is when a user sends a fake link that grabs personal information of other users on the network.
Punishment: Blacklist
